It’s with great privilege that I’m able to continue to serve the residents of Bromsgrove as your local MP. I’m proud of our achievements over the past seven years and I’d like to thank you for your continued support, which saw me receive the largest personal mandate of any Bromsgrove MP.
Following the election, the Prime Minister asked me to rejoin her Cabinet as Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government. This has only become possible because you have put your faith and trust in me again – thank you.
Following my re-appointment, the tragic Grenfell fire took place. My thoughts and deepest condolences remain with those affected by this harrowing event. We’re determined to provide all necessary support and the Government stands ready to help in any possible way.
Last week I was pleased to attend the State Opening of Parliament where the Queen outlined the objectives of this parliament – to deliver a smooth and orderly Brexit deal and an even stronger economy.
I am very fortunate to be part of our warm, supportive and strong community here in Bromsgrove - and I’m so grateful to continue to deliver more over the next five years.
