After a busy couple of weeks, many schools across the country have broken up and Parliament has also entered its summer recess. I’d like to wish all constituents in Bromsgrove a very happy summer holiday.
It’s been my top priority to improve our local health services for constituents. I am delighted to welcome an additional £29 million of Government investment in our hospitals. This funding unlocks so much potential for improvements in the Alex and Worcestershire Royal.
I’m pleased to also welcome the announcement that there will be an additional £1.3 billion for schools funding over two years. This means that, with teachers and schools, across Bromsgrove District, we can continue to raise standards and give every child the best possible education, and the best opportunities for the future.
Last week, I dropped by South Bromsgrove High School to thank departing Head Teacher Paul Topping, who has been an inspiration for students – thank you for all of your hard work. It was also a pleasure to meet local farmers at Beacon Farm and hear about their work across Bromsgrove.
This summer, whether you are going abroad or spending time at home, make sure you get plenty of rest!
