As A-Level and GCSE students received their teacher assessed grades last week, I’m sure readers will join me in congratulating and wishing them the best of luck for the future. In an unprecedented academic year, students have shown fantastic character and resilience – great qualities that will serve them well going forward.
Over the past few days, some parents and pupils have been in touch to raise issues with their results and offers from universities. To help students, I’ve set up a dedicated support team for pupils and parents in Bromsgrove District. If you think that I might be able to assist you with securing a place on the right course at university, then I’d be delighted to hear from you.
Now, the main focus of many parents and teachers is the reopening of schools next week. It is so important that we get pupils back into school and learning again, particularly those students most disadvantaged by lockdown. I would like to thank the school staff who have worked to make schools safe over the summer months. If I can be of any assistance in this effort, please do not hesitate to get in touch via sajid.javid.mp@parliament.uk .
I hope you and your family enjoy the rest of your summer holiday and the bank holiday weekend.
